It really breaks everything down and makes studying everything possible. This is a really great book to use. I recommend it to anyone that asks.
This book is awesome, everyone taking the GRE exam should buy it. Even the vocabulary sections had some very useful tools for bettering your chances of guessing, explaining the system, essential words and strategies. I did purchase Essential words for the GRE to get a longer list of words to study because this is my weak point, but if i had to choose between the two Cracking the GRE takes it HANDS DOWN. This book was extremely helpful in studying for my GRE exam. Don't think about it any more, buy it you will be as amazed as I am. I felt extremely confident after reading this book because it really does crack the exam and teach you how to beat the questions. It was by far the best possible comprehensive study tool and covered every type of question found on the GRE in detail. You don't have to waste time learning math all over, just learn the simple strategies in this book, it's explained well and is presented in a way that's easy to replicate and understand.

The most valuable resource that this book provides are the multiple pages of practice tests and essential vocabulary. The book also contains a number of techniques that will help you in taking the GRE, but it is important to practice these techniques. This book is an excellent studyguide for undergraduate students planning on taking the GRE. It is very easy to understand the language of the text and to get a grip on the material that is being taught.
My advice is get this and also the one directly from ETS. But better than while I was taking the sample questions from the ETS site. Just took the test a day ago.
For the MATH, using the technique is fine, but you will have to finish all the past-exam-questions from the ETS Guide. BEWARE, the 4 hours seem half than that while you are at the testing center, esp. I did very well on Math but not on vocab even after 2 months of prep time.
The review chapters are pretty straightforward. You will need to. with the writing and Math.
Some of the vocab are listed in this Review Guide Chapter 8. Study the vocab daily.
